Today’s Switzerland has a population of over 8 million people and more than two million of those are immigrants from 193 different nations. Every one of them has their own story and a unique face. We want to highlight this diversity – Switzerland is home to many cultures and, therefore, to many individual faces.
We want to show that every face is unique, no matter where we come from. And if we realize just how significant faces are in our everyday lives, then maybe it will not seem as important to ask about the other person’s nationality or heritage and instead focus on their individuality.
The campaign at Vögele Kultur Zentrum was developed from Rainer Roduner’s project «Switzers»: Every face stands for a nation represented in Switzerland. For the exhibition about faces, the posters will be displayed around the entrance as well as inside of Vögele Kultur Zentrum. Being an interdisciplinary, non-profit exhibition centre with an educational mission, it is open to people from all kinds of backgrounds and cultures.
