Vejleåparken is what you would consider a true modern melting pot. Placed in a town called Ishøj just outside Copenhagen, the community houses 5000 people of 80 different ethnicities. The social housing organization, the regional art museum ARKEN and local volunteer groups have come together by art project Inside Out to celebrate the community. The goal of our group action is to salute the people who live here. To create a positive transparency among the residents but also to show off the great diversity to visitors to Vejleåparken. By proudly exhibiting the broad variety of people we seek to raise awareness on neighborship and encourage dialogue as a mean to strengthen community engagement and empowerment.
