Amidst the racial turmoil caused by countless unlawful murders of black people in this nation, our anger and grief became a uniting force. Society has often perpetuated stereotypes of what black people ought to be, with those stereotypes acting as an agent of oppression. With this project, we want to emphasize to everyone in our city of Buffalo, New York and nationally that black people are not a monolith. We have an infinite amount of aspirations, desires, and potential, which no one can take from us. By pasting these posters all around the city, we hope to show the black community in its entirety and emphasize our demands to be seen.
