To celebrate the launch of the second edition of the XQ Yearbook, the Inside Out Team brought out the Photobooth for the first time in more than a year! We visited four high schools in three states and printed more than 550 posters.
The XQ Yearbook honors and invites all high school students to join what we hope will be the largest digital yearbook ever.
We started out by visiting the Brooklyn Lab Charter School in New York City three weeks ago. The scholars got their portraits taken in the truck and excitedly watched as we pasted them on the wall of their High School. We were very touched by the enthusiasm and what seemed like a caring bond between teachers and students.
Our Photobooth, Damariz, Jaime, Devon and Emma then hit the road last week to visit the Washington Leadership Academy in DC before heading to Rhode Island to visit the 360 High School in Providence and the Ponaganset High School. The once empty school yards filled up with music and dance. Students that have spent a large part of the year apart came together to be pasted side by side in large format in celebration of their great achievements.
After a week on the road, our team came back happy from all of our encounters and looking forward to more Photobooth truck Actions this year.
