We are teenagers in an incarceration alternatives program, and we want to share with our community that we feel childhood is a special time. We wanted to ask local children to pose for us, but we were afraid that no one would allow us to photograph their children. After talking to a few parents, we found that most of them were friendly, and willing to have their child’s picture taken. At first, we thought that their children would all have happy, smiling faces. But as we began to photograph, we saw that some are giggly and some are serious, some are angry and some are sad. We saw that children have a variety of personalities, just like adults.
