YOUNG PEOPLE ALSO HAVE A LOT TO EXPRESS AND DEMONSTRATE
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM
JULY 2013 | 8 PORTRAITS
We decided to put our project on one of the famous Bricklane’s walls - Buxton Street, East London, because this place represents the freshness of ideas, some kind of free thinking and this is a perfect creative hub for the youth culture.
Nowadays, because of the economical situation, all social and political issues, possibilities to express yourself are in a certain way limited and tension is rising. Our idea was to highlight young people’s eyes, in order to show different feelings, expressions and emotions. Eyes are the window of our guts : no one can cheat, no one can hide this true expression, no one can steal that. We wanted to say that even if everything goes wrong, if your life isn’t as good as you expected, if you are struggling because the world is more complex than what you thought, there is still a way to express yourself, to change things and hope at some point. The strength of your mind appears in your eyes - you should NEVER GIVE UP.
