#SMASHINGSTEREOTYPES - women empowerment campaign that aims to increase awareness of women’s socio-economic role as well as to inspire the younger generation of women and girls.
Women are playing an increasingly important role in Georgian society, voicing their opinions and demolishing centuries-long stereotypes. Women are leading major initiatives both in government and NGO sectors. Women are becoming CEOs and board members, are building and running successful national and international enterprises. Women are inventing new technologies, including new solutions to COVID-19. Women are earning more degrees and in a wider range of fields. Women are winning world sports championships, directing award-winning films, sailing international waters, and flying passenger planes.
Different activities showcasing stories of 25 prominent women will be implemented within the frames of the campaign. Selected women represent sectors that are preconceived to be male-dominated, and their stories will be used to show the public that there are no sectors that women are unable to access and achieve success.
One of the campaign activities is an outdoor photo installation that will include portraits of the selected 25 women, a short campaign description, and four campaign-relevant questions that will allow the audience to voice their opinion.
Become a Group Leader by organizing an Inside Out Action in your community. Gather 50 or more participants that stand behind a message you are passionate about and paste your portraits in your community.
