When we began our project plan in May 2013, we felt there was nothing to complain about in our lovely tropical community (this was before our river pollution issue flared up again). Our community is made up of amazing people, mostly snow birds and families. We have chosen to celebrate the uniqueness of many great individuals in our community by calling our project “Treasures of the Treasure Coast”. We are honoring those who often fly under the radar but bring true value to our community. We are also matching each honoree with another of similar characteristics. They may not know each other, however, the goal of this art project is to get everyone talking about the quality people we see every day. Individuals you may rub shoulders with in the checkout line and not know. This is meant to make each of us think more deeply about our neighbors and take the time to get to know each other and especially these great honorees. The images were displayed between June 29th and July 13, 2014. To learn more about these individuals please go to www.TreasuresoftheTreasureCoast.blogspot.com
