Portraits of people living, working, and passing through the Prébarreau district of Neuchâtel. A long time ago, there was a river.

The Prébarreau district in Neuchâtel is a dynamic mixed-use area, combining manufacturers, trades, artisans, public offices, and creative spaces like artists' and dance studios. It also includes social housing, home to a diverse community from many nations. The area offers great views of the castle and other landmarks, and is just minutes away from the city center, lake, and main train station. Once the site of a river, now traces of this history remain in an old mill building, and the district serves as a popular shortcut for pedestrians.

EMOH LEEF is a non-profit association and was established in April 2024, dedicated to fostering creativity and community engagement through music, visual arts, and a variety of cultural programs, complemented by special events and collaborations with the surrounding community and other cultural institutions.

EMOH LEEF's atelier is located in a former glassblowing and painting workshop at the ground floor of an apartment & social housing building in the Prébarreau district. It is an active, creative workspace where musical experiments, photography, and art production are continuously in progress.

We seek to contribute to the Prébarreau quarter by thoughtfully integrating the surrounding environment into our creative activities, enhancing the neighborhood’s character as part of our atelier.
