TAKE BACK THE NIGHT, RECLAIMING SPACES THROUGH PHOTOGRAPHY AND COMMUNITY
PRESCOTT, UNITED STATES
APRIL 2019 | 50 PORTRAITS
Take back the night is a worldwide event that has been happing since 1976. It aims to bring awareness of sexual assault, harassment, and domestic violence. As my Senior thesis, I am hosting take back the night at my school Prescott College in Arizona. The portraits will be taken of people who have been affected by these acts as well as allies who has supported the community. The visual representations posted on our college campus could bring empowerment to those affected. It shows they are not alone and they will not stay quiet. The portraits are going to be hung in the heart of our school campus and will show the reclaiming of space.
Become a Group Leader by organizing an Inside Out Action in your community. Gather 50 or more participants that stand behind a message you are passionate about and paste your portraits in your community.
