I have been a French and History teacher in a vocational high school for over 20 years, and I believe that building self-esteem is essential, a key to student success. Self-esteem and self-confidence are not innate; they are built. In my view, it is both an individual and collective issue, as confidence inspires us to achieve our dreams.

Students in vocational training have not always had a choice in their career path and training. They feel an even greater need for support in their professional development and integration.
This is why I believe it is important to nurture self-esteem in vocational high schools through a project, specifically an artistic one.

I would like to enable my students to carry out a collaborative project within their school that connects current students with alumni through their portraits. This will allow them to realize that vocational high school is a space for success, professional integration, and personal growth.

Former students from our vocational programs are now pursuing BTS (Advanced Vocational Training Certificate) degrees in Sales Assistance, Human Resources Consulting, Data and AI Management, and Quality Technician roles within large companies. Through their career paths and profiles, they offer a valuable message to current students:

"There is no predetermined path, but self-esteem, hard work, and perseverance allow those who are confident to move forward even when the path doesn't yet exist."
