We would like people to know more about the Penan. The Penan are living in the Borneo forest and are in great danger today because of logging companies who are cutting down the Borneo forest and palm oil companies who are replacing the forest by palm oil plantations. Palm oil is the most exported product of Malaysia and it can be found everywhere today, even in organic products. Apparently there are less than 100 nomadic Penan left in Borneo today and many specialists state that their culture would be disappearing in the next 20 years or less because of deforestation.
