As director of EHPAD, my desire is to communicate on the support of elderly people within our establishments and the need to take into account the issues of aging in our modern societies. The practices of certain EHPADs have been strongly criticized in the press in recent months (sometimes rightly so) and the Covid crisis has contributed to reinforcing the “bad reputation” of our establishments.
From now on, we are keen to prove that the EHPAD must remain a place to live, in which residents and caregivers (professionals and families) make common cause to guarantee elderly people a pleasant living environment for the last years of their lives. lives. Carrying out this project therefore represents for us the desire to highlight the difficulties facing our establishments with regard to the lack of resources made available to support the elderly with dignity: it is a question of making visible these residents who we support them on a daily basis so that they are not considered second-class citizens.
The objective of the project is also to promote the daily action and investment of caregivers in these elderly people and to bring together families and professionals around a collective, rewarding project which will create new relationships between all stakeholders.
