NOTICE US! is about connection, shared values, recognition and willingness to be seen. As one of the smallest countries in Eastern Europe we still feel neglected by the West on and emotional level. As much as we try to, a lot of stigma is still around our history, values and abilities to connect with the West fully. As little of a community on a global scale as we might be, we still need art, culture and want to participate and be a part of something bigger, understand the cultural sphere we`re living in, spread joy in our differences and be seen as we are. The space we decided to place our photos is significant to us - a chimney of the old furnace house (46 m long) where we wish to have a contemporary art centre. A place where everyone could get involved in art practices and enjoy contemporary art on a new scale but it has to be a strong YES for this idea from our community before the old furnace house gets run down and a regular building is built in its place.
So NOTICE US! - we who enjoy modern art, we who want to be part of it and we who share the values, dreams and vision for better and kinder world for everyone.
