On February 26, 2012, in Sanford, Florida, an unarmed teenager by the name of Trayvon Martin was fatally shot by George Zimmerman on the basis of that state’s stand-your-ground law. The individuals in these portraits allowed me to “shoot” them with my camera; taking their picture to show support for the unnecessary death of Trayvon Martin. The purpose of this project is to view different people that are willing to “stand-their-ground” against various unethical laws going on in their own communities but can still come together for one common cause.
Become a Group Leader by organizing an Inside Out Action in your community. Gather 50 or more participants that stand behind a message you are passionate about and paste your portraits in your community.
