As a community we aim to come together and discuss issues that are important to us. Raising awareness about the state of mental health and illness amongst youth is a topic our students feel strongly about here in Medford. Our portraits convey the "many faces" of mental health. In some of our portraits students are reacting to the growing issue of student depression, anxiety and other illnesses. Others are exemplifying that each person may experience their own state of mental health in a different way. No matter what our experiences are and what the state of our mental health is, we all express our emotions in a unique way. We hope this project will promote empathy and awareness to inform the students and the public about this important social issue.
