We are multicultural and immigrant origin youth from more than 20 countries. We are building ourselves in between cultures. We are coming of age in between languages. We are forging our own path forward. At South Broward High School, Everglades High School, Glades Middle School, we’ve been using the power of storytelling and art to foster empathy, urgency, and action around issues that affect us. We are telling our own stories from our own perspectives on our own terms for our peers, families and communities to listen, learn, and embrace us for who we are. We are the children of immigration. We are here to stay. Together, let’s define who will become.
