Sierra Vista Arizona and its surrounding area is home to many Veterans, many are disabled and some of which are on hard times or homeless. In our community some years ago a place was started called Warrior Healing Center, a place for Veterans to get some assistance or heal through using the arts. For example they have Native American Flute groups and lessons, drum circles, different Vets show their artwork or offer classes for what they do. Other organizations are hosted in this building which also helps Vets. A lot of Vets were very young when they joined and after they get out find it hard adjusting and maturing, this center understands and helps. What I would like to do is a series of portraits with life affirming, happy and interesting Veterans faces. Ideally the photos would be pasted on the exterior walls of the Warrior healing center on Veterans Day 2025. I am affiliated with this center and have talked with the founders and managers and they are willing to participate if this gets approved.
