We work with real poor children and teach them skateboarding. We even took them to the beach to tech how to surf!
I wanted to cheer up El Cerrito (it is a sandy, poor village without any art or decoration) and make the people who live their proud and happy with the campaign.
The kids who are on the pictures are normally very spontaneous but once we start taking the portraits they became instant very serene and serious. After seing the result in big they felt like rockstars (and they are!) and got their stoke back!
We want to show the world Cerrito and it's unique skate project and all the potential is has! We believe skateboarding can change situations and our big example is the Skateistan project! The situation is different in Peru, but we saw after teaching them skateboarding and surfing and organizing events around it how kids were changing hard in a positive way.
Become a Group Leader by organizing an Inside Out Action in your community. Gather 50 or more participants that stand behind a message you are passionate about and paste your portraits in your community.
