The slogan “THE FUTURE IS FEMALE” emerged in the 70s, a time when, just like today, a strong wave of the feminist movement inspired significant changes in our society. Originating from the first women’s bookstore in New York City in 1972, the phrase proclaims that women are claiming their power and public voice in society to change the future.
The Inside Out Project Action “The Future Is Female” brings the public together to create an art installation that advocates for more respect, love and inclusive. With our portraits, we call for an expansive environments that welcome all gender expressions, identities, and feminisms.
