Black and white close-up portrait has always be strongly associated with funeral or gravestone portrait in Hong Kong culture. The exhibition get lost in translation and instead looks like a memorial site of a mass shooting, a massacre or a holocaust.
The staff at the exhibition are very friendly and positive but I don’t understand why they are wearing a mask and still not confident to be themselves even though they are encouraging the public to show their smiles.
