WORLD REFUGEE DAY
GENEVA, SWITZERLAND

Each year on 20 June, the world celebrates World Refugee Day, the international day to honour the strength and courage of people who have been forced to flee their home, to escape conflict or persecution. Switzerland for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, and the Hospice général, the state authority responsible for hosting refugees and asylum-seekers in the Canton of Geneva have gotten together to underline a message of hope and inclusion on this year's world refugee day. This Action will bring the Geneva community together to create a work of public art that emphasizes the need for host communities to include and ensure refugees' rights are respected worldwide
