Faceless is a body of work which I shot in Dublin, Ireland. The subject mater is people who have come to hard times and ended up living on the streets in my community. I approached these people and explained what I was doing then sat with them for a while and heard their stories of shattered homes..addiction..jail..emigration..hope. I also explained that this was not going to be a collection of portraits of homeless people..just people but the reason I choose them was because of their closeness to the streets in which I intend to display them.
These men are no better or no worse than anyone else in my community and for what they have to do to survive from day to day..I respect them. The title of this project reflects on how we pass these people by around the world and not see them.
I'd like to thank each and everyone who allowed me to capture their portrait..you are not forgotten.
